Has anyone figured out how to sort throught they Midwest Truck and Equip. listings to find just chip trucks? They have too many pages of "trucks" but no heading for chip trucks.

Habit. Just what I was raised on. Personally I would like a duece and a half, or a five ton. 6x6, not too hard to find parts for, and plenty of truck for everyone.

That's a big truck, but not too big truck. A great example of buying more truck than you need. Noone ever wishes their truck was made LESS sturdy.

Good looking old one ton. Eric I know that you are a Whisper chipper fan-what can I expect to have to pay for a used one in working condition? I've got to move up this year if at all possible-A Vermeer 625a would be okay a 935a great..... but anything that will take 4" and smaller stuff without having to trim it out super straight and actually push it through the feed chute will be worth changing to.--if I can pony up the frog hides.

Depends on condition, but $4k for one that works, up to 6 or 7k if it's in really nice shape. I've seen a few go for under $4k, but they needed work.

Mine's going at the end of the year.

I'm keeping my eyes and ears open for a "deal". Another guy here in town bought his Vermeer 935 for $2200-clean and working!
