So I bought a Chinese Stihl 660 off Amazon and before I even tried to run it, I pulled off the clutch and replaced the bar oiler pump with a high output version. I also installed the full wrap handle.

Well now theres fuel leaking out of one of the holes in the handle. I’m wondering if one of the screws I installed and a handle was too long and it punctured the tank?

Also, the long piece of spring steel that wraps around the clutch to constitute the chain brake, is rubbing on the clutch regardless of whether the chain brake is engaged or not.

I have fidgeted with that a bunch and still haven’t gotten it to work right. Should I file off some material on the metal lugs that support the chain brake and see if that gives it more clearance?IMG_8787.jpegIMG_8788.jpeg

How long was the screw you put in the handle?
They come in different lengths for different handles and skid plates. I removed the 3/4 wrap and skid plate from mine and had to shorten screws.
If you put SEAL ALL on the screw and put the handle back on it'll likely seal up, that stuff works pretty good.
How much does the chain brake drag? If you can still spin the clutch by hand, it's fine.

I fidgeted around with the chain brake for a while and got it to work. Now I guess I have to do what you said and seal up the tank…
