How often do you normally need to replace the anvil on your disc chippers? Once a year? I don't have a gauge, it seems Ok but I don't know for sure. I put sharp knives and some new hydraulic lines on today, and was reading about the anvil.

Thanks Jeff. I was able to turn the anvil to a fresh side and get it adjusted, helped out a lot. Chipper is ready to roll now, new hydraulic lines, knives, anvil, filters, relief pressure reset, belts tightened, and greased.

The Woodchuck I have never had the anvil swapped around it's whole life. Still had original asplug orange paint on it and it was rounded nearly to the opposite side, so I had to flip it. I'd like to say I couldn't believe it, but I wasn't surprised. :jester:
