So, I've reviewed all the previous threads on chipper/box combo untis and am pretty sure this is the next purchase I need to make for my part-time tree care business. I mostly do pruning and small removals so, I think a 9" chipper would be about right for most of what I do. On the occasion that I need to haul logs, I have both a 1-ton dump truck and a dump trailer along with a mini skid.

I can carry my mini skid sideways on the front of the dump truck so, the ideal setup, as I see it, would be pulling the chipper/box combo behind the dump truck. That way, I can chip into the trailer-mounted box, then unload the mini skid and load logs into the dump truck - everything in one smooth operation. If I have a lot of chipping to do, I could swivel the chipper forward and chip into the pickup box. For smaller jobs where I only need to chip brush, it would also make it possible for me to use my newer 3/4 ton short box pickup. As it is now, I don't have the ability to haul debris in the short box - only saws, etc.

What do you guys think? My search thus far (in this forum and on the internet) has only resulted in feedback on the Bandit model 90/95 chipper/box combo like the one sold through the Tradin' Post back in May of 08. Are there any other brands worth considering and does anyone have any leads on a good used unit for sale?
