Oh lord no. I'm 56 now.

I had my own business for 15 years doing Industrial Machine Repair.
I incorporated in 1988 back in those days we use to manufacture things but it was dying out.

Anyways I would go from factory to factory and there were tons of them here in Mass.
I would get my foot in the door doing electrical troubleshooting work.

That spread to plumbing, welding, hydraulics, HVAC, Machine shop work, compressors and pumps. etc.
I put almost 100% of my profits back into the Co. buying tools and trucks.

If there was a wrong way of doing things I've done it. Went to the school of hard knocks.

I also owned a restaurant let's see that cost me 25,000 before I pulled the plug on that.

So yes I'm dumb enough to try something else. :msp_tongue:

It sounds like you are kind enough to just come right out and call yourself a hack. I agree, you are dumb. I am glad i never actually met you. Bye.

Well its a chipper or option B... while looking at a job with another AS member here, the HO told us that we did not have to chip the brush because the goats would eat it... So I guess you could go get a few goats and tote them around with you. Get a chipper borrowing, renting or stuffing brush sucks ass and eats profits.

Yeah, I'm not trying to be a smartass or anything. Just saying that the guys who could really put a chipper to work aren't asking that question, they are humping it out everyday wishing they had one.

I learned that lesson gold mining.

Create the need for the machine, then get the machine.

Works a lot better that way.

I agree. And i also agree that you can get the machine then create the need for it. Years ago I used to stuff brush, I was just a kid doing small side jobs but still it sucked.
I guess the only way outta buying a chipper is to do what Ropes and Prentice do which is just to grapple the whole freaking mess into a truck and dump it at their leisure. Not many have that leisure.

I have a nice 16" whisper chipper with 300 inline six I'd let go for around $3500.........cash.

Ill give $2000 and buy you lunch but you would have to deliver it to the Ct border?

hey, just getting back to you on that Dingo: look I am one of those who go in and out of it. Ya know, sometimes I'm in, sometimes I'm out but really i am in. Sorry for any confusion, most people allready know about me. I am a pretty good climber/tree worker... when I'm in but when I'm out, man, I'm out.

Yeah, I get it. Probably easy money just to cut a tree.
Jeff :msp_confused:

Jeff, I might be wrong here but from what I can tell there's alot of work and money invested for something that might not pay that well.

Not to mention the work is dangerous, and your always working with the weather.

I just find it interesting and I love hard work.

My typical work week is about 70 hours a week. My family and friends think I work way too many hours and don't see me as much as they would like.

Please don't get me wrong here you guys are hard workers.:msp_thumbup:
