I spray mine with oil like Moovit or something and give them a wipe if they get too gummed up.

Never cleaned one either. But I'll spray it with lysol to disinfect. It kills 99.8% of germs...says so right on the can:D.

I have used hydrogen peroxide (H2O2 I think) before, I like the way it bubbles.....

You guys are killing me

I buy a new hand saw for each cut like when cuttting out Sphaeropsis, that'll keep the tools clean.

Charcoal lighter fluid or "Goo-Gone". After cleaning, I coat it with WD-40. Try it, you'll see why. Also, the Goo-Gone will easily take pine rosin off your hands without burning them so bad.

That looks similar to the Skynyrd album "Street Survivors" cover art as originally released and which I have a copy of, complete with the tour schedule insert...

That was originally a photo from a party. Then I got bored and added the flames to make a t-shirt for a buddy as an Xmas present.

Having seperate tools for diseased and and non-diseased trees may seem like a joke to a goofball like you Anniethrax, but to guys in the field, doing the work everyday, it's a pain in the ass we have to deal with. Sure, we could just march in and cut away with the same tools we used yesterday to take out a wilted tree, or dump a load of chips even thugh we suspect Virt wilt,

Good, yes, I thought I was alone with disinfecting at each new site and between trees, especialy if they are the same spieces. I carry alcohol in a spray jug, and even do the chain saw I use in the tree.

This takes most everything off the blade and what doesn't come off I use a small brass wire brush on. And sometimes a little WD40 after if I'm putting it away.
