Not sure if this is the right place to post this, but I'm sure someone will let me know if it isn't. Starting to clean up leaners, blow downs and broken/ dying trees in our wood lot. Got ~14 logs out so far, and my goal is to get a good truckload out within the next month.
Could be tough, cause the hay is about ready, the lawns I mow seem like they look good for about 1/2 a day, blah blah.
Anyway, I've put up an offer to sell on a internet site.
I'm also putting up vids of the logs on youtube to let prospective buyers look before they drive. But, seems like most mills around here are shuttered and or gone. I'd hate to just chunk these for firewood, but if no one is buying these days...
Any here know if there's a pulse in the mid-atlantic/ tri state -PA,MD,WV ? View attachment 185723View attachment 185724

11'

Cause Ima treehugger and I don't know no better...
Plus, I stepped them off. Stepped too long, didn't I ?
On the big reds, I didn't tink the tractor could handle any more than 9'. But they turned out 11+...oh well. I did get a nibble today on the cherrys. Gonna call tomorrow.

Okay, that makes sense. Sometimes it's good to find out what exact length the mills want. They'll dock you for over or under and you've basically given away that wood. Bucking to exact length can help maximize what little profit there is in this business. :D
