I bought 17.4 acres of land last year and am now going to start to clear some of it. I got a deal of a lifetime and could not say no...do you think that clearing 2 acres a year is doable, working in my spare time.. I have a tractor with front end loader that I can use, plenty of saws, could probably buy, borrow or rent whatever other equipment I need... I want to clear 2 acres this year, so hopefully I can build on it next year, or at worst the year after..thanks.

just out of curiosity what is a deal of a life time in your area?
I guess it all depends on how long it takes by how many trees you have to remove.....with what you have it should be very doable

54K,I had 5.5K set aside for a wedding that never happened.. dodged a bullet on that one...

Seems to me like you would be able to do that EASILY. What are you wanting to do concerning the stumps? Leav'm, dig'm up w/ a trackhoe, or grind'm? There's a whole LOT of excess tops and stumps involved that may need to be shoved along a fencerow, and or burnt. I would think the two biggest issues of concern are dealing w/ the tops and the stumps.
