Ok....just a simple question...looking for suggestions . I have my own saws, and looking for a belt /harness to climb a small tree IN MY YARD. I'm not trying to go into business. Instead of paying someone to climb it, I'd rather buy my own belt and such. I won't need spikes. Most of the branches I've cut with my silky hayate to where I can still climb the tree using the foot long branch stubbs I have left for that purpose......I have a 201t and silky hand saw. So my question is for suggestions on buying a simple belt/harness. I just want something to wrap around the tree so I can lean back and use my two hands ...thanks

cougar harness with a landyard and a prusik so you can always be tied in and then have 2 tie in point when you cut. However I'd recommend going to a arborist shop as opposed to a catalog order and have them show you how to put it on and use it properly. If you plan on climbing higher then say 20' then I'd say get proper training or

What are you trying to do? The cost of a saddle and lanyard will probably be more than the cost to pay someone. Also, if you do decide to do it yourself, make sure life insurance and health insurance are paid up. You never know. Also, don't climb alone. You will want someone there in case you have to call 911. Good luck.

Hey, I'm not an electrician, but I know how to hook my my stereo and cable and I'm looking to rewire my house and my fuse box - I need more amps. Can anyone tell me what additional tools I'm gonna need to accomplish this? I already have a pair of pliers and wire cutters. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!!!

If your umbilical chord didn't have a friction hitch for you to climb out of your momma, you have no business asking questions like this.
Seriously though, get a simple weaver or buckingham saddle, buy the tree climbers companion, have a spotter and respect the laws of gravity. Learn your knots inside and out on the ground before use in a tree and good luck.

Also, I've been having pains on the lower right side of my gut. From researching this on the net, I'm positive it's my appendix. I can't afford a real doctor, but I've skinned and cleaned a lot of critters and am well versed in anatomy. I have a sharp knife and some thread and needles... can anyone offer me any advice on performing a self appendectomy?

I wonder what happened to that guy that was gonna drop that tree but couldn't drop it acrossed the asphalt driveway. We never saw the tree or the driveway though.

Again, don't forget the duct tape.

And a stapler, hot solder iron whiskey and a bent metal coat hanger to reach in and snag it with

Surely you can make your own harness out of rope offcuts, how hard can it be?
