Climbing Competitions for OLDER climbers?

I don't think the younger climbers are at that much of a disadvantage that we need to have a seperate catagory.
You know what they say, if you want to pee with the big dogs, you have to lift your leg a little higher.

I wanted to keep the age up there so I did not have to compete against Tom D. I've seen him climb. Bob

Age Limit

Ya, I thought I was safe knowing that probably anybody in their 60s would giving me a break.

So, now that the cat is out of the bag, we will have to set a age start point. At my age, you'd have to be like in kind, i.e., ninja warrior, martial arts chi practicer, etc., just to make it throught the week climbing and pruning big ones.

If we go this far with ground rules, how about designing a whole new competition agenda.

1) new techiques points
2) new advanced gear points
3) variation for speed burst in certain climbing critical moves points
4) crown tip ability points

Any ideas?

Wait, what do you mean by young climbers? I'm the oldest guy on my floor where I live, so I'm an old guy by their standards. Here, I'm a young pup. So I'm living some dichotomous life apparently.

You'd have to be to be going to the U of Wis.

I wouldn't worry about Tom from what I hear. I hear Tom is about the most knowledgeable guys out there but have alot of action. Thats just what I hear. Anyway Jack I am about 10 minutes east of you, I'm up for some young against old or if you just want to see what you could aspire to let me know.

Thanks for the offer. I certainly could learn a lot from you. When, I don't know, at the moment, ... tons of work for me right now. Or should I say tons of bills left over from the slow winter to get out of the way. Am working 7 days at the moment trying to get caught up.

Yeah next Sunday seems pretty much open. I plan on working Saturday to earn a little extra cash for TN. I plan on going down May 6. We have a nice little park like 2 minutes from my house with a pretty nice sycamore(s) and trout stream right there. Pretty easy get to just 422 east just into Stowe. left on Grosstown Rd at the light take it all the way down to stop sign make a Right and its right there on the right.
