Clutch removal ?? on SC252

I have a Vermeer sc252 and changing out the engine. I am having problems getting the 12 volt clutch off. Has anyone removed one of these and does it require a special wheel puller? Do you pull on the clutch itself or on the pull on the pulley behind the clutch?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
