Did some tree work today at a house owned by a high school woodshop teacher. He brought up the possibility of me getting a co-op student this summer. Student would be covered by school's insurance policy, and would have had chainsaw operator course. Almost sounds too good.
I'm wondering if anyone here has gone this route, and if it was an exercise in frustration; ie. "babysitting", or a worthwhile experience. My current groundman is basically "unteachable". He reached his pinacle of incompetance years ago, and is basically usefull only for moving wood/brush from point A to point B. A student who actually wants to learn would be a nice addition, I think, unless there is a downside to this possibility.
