I have a woodstove that burns ok with scrap 2x4 pieces but put in a log that is a little green and it goes out ....
So .... why not cut a hole in the side and mount a small blower ???
I should add that this stove has an airwash design that is ment to keep the glass clean and thats the only air input .
I bought 2 cords of seasoned birch and it burns good whit the door cracked open 4 inches but when i go to bed I am not about to leave a fire going with the door open so I close it and the fire goes out.
even if I cut in a small hole and weld in a 2 inch pipe with a valve like a water shutoff that would let me control the airflow.
what you guys think??

It sounds like you are having chimney problems. You should be able to burn dry birch without leaving the door open. I'd worry about a blower. It sounds like a recipe for disaster!

I checked the pipe and its clear all the way up (20ft) .
I think my wood is not as seasoned as I was told it was????
