I have a ms250c stihl saw that I inherited from my father. It has the easy 2 start recoil. In warm weather it works ok but in cold temperatures it will barely rotate engine. I am done with the easy 2 start recoil and would like to convert it to a standard recoil. What do I need to do this? Do I need to find the recoil cover for a older 250 model or what recoil covers will work on this saw?

Can you show a pic of that recoil? I have disabled a few different ones but I don't know what the easy start on that one looks like.
I don't have a pic yet but the recoil cover looks the same but when you take the cover off there is a steel band spring coiled up in the housing. If I go out in the next day or so I will try to get a pic for you.

Like to see the pic, but usually that type can be disabled by just filling the coil spring and housing with epoxy and turning into a solid mass.
