Feel Lucky
That is one reason for going small,it is hard to afford great helpyah a much higher TIP wouldve made your movement much easier all around in that tree.
in a tree like that i go to the highest/safest/best working TIP i can find and go from there.
in the second pic whats the line going through 2 crotches?
and also to comment on the rign even though you might have a target (house) under the work sometimes its easier to go bigger.
i have never used a GRCS so i cant speak for them.
now saying that i still wouldve went big with alot of that wood.
was your rope guya vet of tree work? telln ya a good rope guy is a wonderful thing.
anyway good stuff. get a helmet.
here,I have a guy that comes in for bad ones and can pay him good
for the ground work on them! Actually removing with spurs on I would
rather cut it out small as it does not take me long! And I want it gone
when I come down but thats just me! I would not give the money
they want for a gcrs, overpriced and just another thing to store
is my opinion. I have a winch if I want something moved and I
trust it much more.
