Just how much are you willing to pay someone to come cut your trees down?

You don't really expect someone to do it for free do you?
-----

And he responded with this:

-----
are you an arborist? I have been told by arborists the chances were very good and it was even their idea.
I was told by columbia climbers they could do it for $250

THANK YOU,

I can't stand people like that....They are either so nieve' that they are dumb enough to post that add, or they are complete scum and should be kicked in the shins. Oh please come work for free, and sweep up your mess too!!!! You might end up wtih a cord of green fire wood and a truck full of bows or chips!!!! Like we don't have an abundance of trees we could find on our own out here.

Sounds like a lady in the countryside of a Portland westside suburb - about 7 miles out Scholls Ferry Rd. - calling for 3 estimates for what was probably a $200 job: estimates from Certified Arborists.

Hope the person in the ad doesn't mind showing proof of ownership, home liability insurance, etc..:)

Craigslist has its good side though.

I had 24 concrete pier block in the back yard from a section of deck we removed after having a local arborist remove our sweet gum; which was heaving the deck. Didn't really care to move the blocks myself, nor have my son do it. So I ran a FREE blocks ad. In 5 minutes, a call came in from Hillsboro, and in 1/2 hour, the man was here moving and loading the blocks.
