Gather around guys, here is a story of the one job I have come across that I wont bid on.

A mate if Id be to look at a job with him, usual hooks "Big money" "Just your kind of work" "great rigging challenge" etc

Road running along the sea shore. Small gas station beside road and 130m bank/hill behind it. (steep enough to need rope to get up and down)

about 80m up is a pine thats about 17m tall. Base is about 1.2m. Its dead, barkless and theres broken off bits of it all over the site. You can kick your boots into the rootplate in places.
If it hits the ground I think its going to shatter and create a pine chunk avalanche which would be a bad thing for all below.

Gets better yet, the pine is dead due to a ruptured sewer line which has been pumping some of the foulest things this side of rosanne barr man has ever produced at the foot of the tree. And they wont fix the line because of the dead crumbling tree above it.

Pine has a dozen healthier buddys on the same hill but to far away to be of real help that will also have to come out. Everything would have to be removed. If it wasnt raining I would have taken pics because I was thinking of you guys when I looked at it!

Its a chopper job if anything as there isnt the angle for a skyline or the room for one and the whole hillside is a little iffy. No crane access, and the road would be impossible to put a long term closure on.

I like challenges but this is to far from home and just a nightmare in liability and risk. If I wasnt busy I might think about it, but I just dont need to take on this, but I thought I would share with you guys the crappiest job I have ever seen.
