Serious about splitting or selling firewood?
This is the machine!
It was the first built by CRD Metalworks in NH in 2011
We saw and got to try it out at a tradeshow in Vermont- May 2011
A business in York, Maine bought it and we bought it from them last August

Specs:
It runs on a 38HP Kohler gas engine
Conveyor is 11' long and 2' wide
It has an 8-way wedge
It auto-cycles with the push of ONE button and can split ANYTHING
It can split a log up to 24" long and 24" in diameter

These pictures are from the day after we bought it. We built a pavilion-like structure for it to sit out of the weather since then. That is where it sits now. We run a "Weekend Warrior" firewood business which is when almost all of the splitting takes place. With the wood cut and ready to go or someone cutting simultaneous, you can split as fast as you can load logs. I think the cycle time is 6 seconds or less. It is basically the business end of a process but almost 1/6th of the price. In optimum conditions, my brother and I could cut and split, with this machine, between 8-10 cords in a single weekend.

The conveyor folds down and there is hardware for it to be towed down the road. (Pintle)

If you are serious, come take a look at it and put some wood through it to see it for yourself!
I am very passionate about what we do and will teach you what I know.
Please don't waste my time with trades or tell me its only worth $3500.
A new one retails for $17,900 and you have to pick it up in NH!

I am located in Mars, PA
PM me for details and contact info
Post up questions too if you wish.

-Thanks.
