Hey guys, I was up at Western Carolina University today for their Heritage Day and seen some cutting, they were cutting 10"x10" poplar timber, the best time was a 4.39sec buy a small small modified Husky that ran I believe on alchohol, what are times that you guys have, and one more question is anyone familiar with a company or guy in Michigan that sells race saw chain if so how good are they, there were two guys that cleaned house that used them, thanks again this saw thing is starting to get the better of me I think!

there are a couple big guys in MI that build chains. One of which is a serious saw builder that doesn't post here.

There is one heck of a guy in ohio. I have a couple of his.

4 seconds, was that three cuts, or two cuts in the 10x10?

that was two cuts, do you know how to reach some of these guys in either MIchigan or Ohio, thinking of showing up next year with a woods ported MS360pro with a race chain.

info

440- I pm'ed you the Mi and Oh info.
So the times were hotstart 2 cuts over wood? or hot start hands on the wood, saw on the ground? or cold start?

the cuts were hot starts, saws running in hand, most were a down cut then the up cut but few guys went down twice. There was a guy from Tennessee that had a race husky saw of some sort that was cutting and then all the sudden started to run in reverse I had never heard of that, I figured it would have twisted the crank or something. Thanks for the PM!
