Was wondering if anyone can give me the cylinder bore diameters for the Stihl 046, Stihl 064, Husky 288XP and Olympyk 980/Oleo-mac 981/Efco 181. Thanks.

046 -- 52mm
064 -- 54mm
288 -- 54mm
281 -- 52mm
I don't know about the OlyMacEfco stuff but I would imagine they are probably 52mm bores.

I guess it has to be 52mm also, for the listed displacement to add up.....

Thanks guys. I'm going to be ordering a flex-hone for my 044 rebuild and was curious to know what other saws it would fit. The saws I mentioned are ones that I've thought about for waaaayyyyy down the road if I could find one to rebuild (top end) for cheap, for a bigger saw for myself. But it looks like I would have to move up to a 2 1/8" diameter hone (from 2" for the 044) for the 064 and 288, but the 2" might work for the 980. For a Stihl, I would bypass the 046 and go to the 064. Converting the 970 to a 980 would depend on the cost of parts.

This was copied from a German ebay seller. I don't remember the sellers
name....could not find a seller by the name of flexparts
