Last week Jerry Beranek and I guided a group of Danish arborists for a few days of Redwood climbing. We were just up the road from the Tree House, across the road from Confusion Hill.

The weather was perfect! Swimming in the Eel River as fantastic. The best swimming that I've had in my whole life!

Seeing all of the smiles and good cheer made the trip very special.

Notice the 3:1 compression tackle to pull the Big Shot all of the way down. Jom is getting ready to make a shot. It took quite a while to get a line set in the tree. I think that it was finally set at about 130'. From there, they climbed up and set an upper access line.
