Sometimes we can misjudge a tree or the wind also can influence directional control when falling or our chainsaw has issues and the cuts don't meet causing hangups, teepees or leaners.
Should this problem arise, we have several options: Pull the offending tree down with a rubber tired vehicle; buck stem into merchantable lengths, or simply apply some friendly persuasion of some sort.

I don't even think Murphy's tapered hinge could help that situation.

Speaking of leaners, this one was leaning at least 35 degrees. Check how the ground shakes from the exertion on the tap root. Other than the fibre pull out of the stump, this tree looks like a keeper to me. Only 3 seconds to hit the ground. I think the average is about 7 seconds.:blob1:
