Hey Guys,
Dennis Cahoon had his hip surgery today and I hope all went well as I haven't heard anything yet but when he gets out of the hospital and gets on here (which I am sure he will) would like to wish him a speedy recovery.

Leslie Fales

Good luck to Dennis on his recovery. All those years in the woods packing heavy saws and jacks around does that to a man's hips, knees, and back. That's the price of western big timber.

I'm sure Dennis will be back up and kicking ass and taking names soon.

I`ll wish Dennis a speedy recovery and hope that he gets full satisfaction from the surgery.

JJ, breakdown of ones body is not unique to the rigors of being a western timber faller. Look at the 50 yr olds in any manual labor field and you`ll see what I mean. As much fun or as satisfying as heavy labor seems when you are young, it`s also the reason that so many men have died young or physically broken down.

My previous statement is not a condemnation of manual labor, but merely an observation and a recommendation to any young people who may read it to stay in school and get an education.

a time to be young an strong ,and a time to die. its the time in between the two that can really . well nuff said.
it one good reason to make a lot o money when u young. that way u do the ugly part gracefully. jmo, this morning .
opinion will change by about 9or 10..
i hope

I just got off the phone with Dennis he's doing great and wanted me to tell all the chainsaw nerds he will be back and stronger than ever. He also mentioned that he has an new therapy program they have him working on.

Russ I have to dissagree about the education from the stand point that I have friends with all differant kinds of degrees and most of them are still working the same jobs they were before (fast food, retail, ect.) the only differance is they owe anywhere from $30,000 to $80,000... Would you like fries with that??
I do however agree that manual labor is hard on the body.

So many people to day have college degrees that there is nothing special about it as far as employers are consirned, take computer graphics for example; in the mid '90s a degree in that field pretty much garonteed you a job but not now. Whats happening is everone is going to college to "better themselves" and that leaves very few people in the trades. So you have an over abudance of people that don't know how to do basic repairs or other things for themselves so they have to call someone to do it for them. Just look at what a plummer makes or a good mechanic. I saw an ad in the paper about two or three months ago for a Jaguar/Ford mechanic in Virginia Beach, Virginia; they were offering $80,000 a year plus benifits with only two years expereance needed!!!! Dennis get well soon:angel:

i got u meaning ryan . its true to some extent. but big stout young men cannot count on that,, to always be. so aim at something where others are doing the hard stuff,as u get older.. either that or save 10 percent of your income every week starting young. saw a plan like that once and the results were phenominal. dont know that ive seen anybody really pull it off, tho.
my problem was i enjoyed the hard work. and im looking at some big questions rite now.me and a fella i know gonna work it out tho.
ps yes it would be helpfull to be able to set a bench an tear a mercedes diesel dn ,fix it and put it back togather. its called marketable skills.get u some that dont require a strong back...
good luck ryan,, an man enjoy the heck out of it. being young. its gone so fast.

Tony, thats the reason I use the Swedish methods as much as I possibly can!!! Work smarter not harder!! If you go around trying to use power of brain then your going to get hurt sooner or later.

It is rumoured that Dennis isnt in for a hip operation at all, it is really a sex change he is having. I heard this from Fish, yes Fish told me that, but Doug says the truth is that he is really heavy with Tommy Fales baby, yes Doug told me that.

I just pray they don't scar his sweet little tushy, that is the only
thing I like about him.
Well he is quite sexy when he pretends to be the Arboristsite
Instigator, he is into role playing a lot.

Hi Dennis, I was going to show up at the horsepistal, but I missed the plane, so I thought I would post another picture of me instead.

I once visited the Clearwater, BC Horsepistal with a hemhorroid flare-up. I walked into the waiting room and there was a horse just standing there. All of a sudden, Dennis G. poked his head out of the eye to say hello. I didn't know for sure, there may have been several other people inside the horse as well.

ryan ,,now where was u when that little bit of info ,,coulda done me some good.
:) ,, no matter,, mamma told me not to go. somebody open up a window ,let some air into this room. cant stand the smell o that stale perfume... er somethin like that.

This just in,
Dennis sent me an email he's home and doing fine. He said he is missing a little musle down there but he can't bend over to look.
He wanted me to tell all the chainsaw NERDS he'll be logging in no time and verbal assaulting all of us in a few hours.

Hi Mark, I was tossing around the idea of calling that limp wristed putz, but on second thought I decided not to, I cant get a word in edgewise when I call him, he just tries to dominate the conversation which usually results in him hanging up on me.
He calls me a stubble jumper which hurts my feelings.

Dennis
I was also going to call and check on you but I know what its like when you are trying to get some rest. Just about the time you fall asleep the darn phone rings again.
I will call you when you are feeling a little better.
Lambert Logger
I know what you mean about Dennis dominate the conversation. I called him once and he talked that much, I forgot why I called. LOL
Later
Dan
