Just wondering if who treats their diesel? Does it really make a difference? I know it makes a difference with gas powered saws.
I do....makes a noticeable difference in injection pump and injector life on most engines ...not to mention in the Northern climate, if we don't treat our diesel we are likely to gel up in the most severe cold...I dont trust suppliers to treat it...

I forgot to and yesterday the filter froze up or gelled.
Howes. Great stuff, reduces smoking as well.
Wow, how cold was it? I know up here in Canada our gas has some winter additives, I will have to check on the diesel though. It's the first winter having a diesel chipper for me.
Power service year round. Save the 911 for when something wierd happens. No issues with Gelling well below zero. Couple of jugs in the bulk tank at each fill.
Ever since the Econazis forced the ULSD on us, I have been adding a Pint of cheapo 2 cycle to each tank fill.
Rebuilding pumps and replacing injectors is NOT cheap on our late 90's Tractor, and it dosn't appear any of those Hippies or politicians are volunteering to pay for it.
If someone has done some studies on additives to avoid wear with the ULSD crap, I'm all ears.
Thanks for the link!!
Stay safe!
