Should I insert a Disclaimer in Treeminator's Signature before someone takes his tips and gets killed?

no you don't understand. i'm way too cheap to hire experienced climbers. i recruit them from minimum wage jobs and train them myself within a couple of days.

i recruit all my guys from the local fast food places. these guys are used to making minimum wage (like $6.00/hr or so). i offer them $8.00/hr and the chance to work in the fresh air. their eyes light up.
1st day on the job is climbing and cutting. 2nd is droppin' & choppin'. by the 3rd day, they are ready to take their Craftsman and go on their own.
good part is... they get discounts at the local fast food places they work for me.

you're kidding right? this board could learn from me.
seriously, i operate on a 90%+ NET profit margin with my system. this includes labor and equipment costs. i have more ways to save money other than just the saws and labor.

savings tip #13:
Home Depot sells a dark brown colored rope that can be used for trees at 1/5th the cost.

we had 3 climbers with electric saws working on take downs and one groundsmen "untangling" the cords the whole time. saved a bunch of money, but the hassles made us switch to gas powered.

That would be a wise move on AS's part before someone gets hurt and claims Treeminator, then they try to come back on AS with a lawsuit...

*Notice this wasn't a threat, don't ban me for saying "lawsuit", just letting you know the possibilities....

think about this for a minute. unless the climber/groundie's very first job was in the tree biz, he had to come from some other industry as a teenager. it's unlikely that all tree employee's started in the tree biz at 16 years old. everyone had to cross over at some point from a non-tree job. someone gave them a chance and trained them.

Someone that trains them, normally has some knowledge of the environment, such as practices, safety, liability, etc. That is kinda like me telling you how to perform brain surgery....

you make it sound like i'm taking down a 200ft Norfolk Pine that's towering over a daycare center with a canal on one side and electrical wires on the other side.

i recently took down a bunch of small trees on the side of a house. each one would land on the insulated line/cable and nothing happened. these were the cable/electric lines that ran from the poles to the house panel.

what's the deal with those. as long as they remain insulated their ok right?

need I say more?

can you do that... insert a signature on each of my posts? that's so wrong and unethical !!!

I think he needs a disclaimer or more approiately, a gag. I've found almost everything he's said hard to believe. Treeminator is like a running bad joke about aboriculture and has suggested more than his fair share of stupid and dangerous suggestions.
Yeah, me too. It's as if he tries to say the most idiotic things possible, and then he acts like he misses any snide remarks. He's either a liar, an idiot, a fake troll, or, most likely, all three.

He can do what he wants as long as it pertains to the safety of AS and it's members. he then can lock it, so you can't change it. lol. Sucks to be you dood.

Just out of idle curiousity treeminator, Where do you get your saddles and hooks from?

Definitely need to do something about him, if running your "mouth" is all it takes to be "senior member". A new person on the site might take that as credibility. At least with his brother sap's advice the most you would hurt would be a saw.
