i still like "a pioneer in tree service innovation, do not imitate"
That is fitting in a way; some pioneers led their followers off of cliffs or into bands of hostiles, or into frozen mountain passes where cannibalism was the only way to live.

Bogus posts should be ignored or met with calm reason and not allowed to derail sincere threads. :notrolls2: You can't fix stupid, so why try?

I'm wondering if treeminator does proper pruning? Collar cuts? Spikeless? No topping? etc? He might save a little grace if this was the case.

I have to support that Chux, the first post of treeminators I ever read I believed to be a spoof. I read all his posts as though they are satire.

As for "Of course you should. Anything dangerous is required to have a warning lable. I'm not an arborist but I admire the professionals represented on this forum. A person like Treeminator is a blight and a liability."

Ugh, cmon Bob, The Peoples Republic of California can't protect us all. Whats next? Possibly a label on our saws that say "do not throttle while chain touches skin"

I meant that as satire, too. One thing to remember...not everybody in "The Peoples Republic of California" goes along with a lot of the crap you hear about. Matter of fact, our end of the state has given serious consideration to breaking off and forming our own state...I"m all for it.
My agreement that Treeminator should have a warning lable was more to protect the unknowing from following some of his goofy advice than anything else. Just because you and some of the other professionals understand that he's a fraud and a hazard doesn't mean everyone will. Bob

Do any of you honestly think treeminator has ever even worked on a tree, or in a tree or even near one?

I personally think, (I have been wrong before of course) that he is a high school kid that has trouble earning respect from his peers, so he participates in this forum pretending to be a business owner, and using what he can glean from serious posts, acentuates them to ascend to some type of credibility.

Either that, or the most completely unethical businessman I have ever heard of.

The nice thing about the internet, we can all have an opinion, Mine might be ruder than most, but I'm old and ugly...so why would I care what he thought of me anyway.

After a few more beers, he might make some sense.

nawwww he knows enough about tree work to get a rise out of everyone.

Whether treeminator is real or not becomes a secondary issue. We all know or knew guys similar to him. Thing is, a guy like treeminator might team up with a guy like clearance(no knock on clearance other than his residential pruning, and he called troll right away) and really make a run in a neighborhood or community, maybe out of business the next year, they cut into an arborists job pool, charging premium prices for substandard work. This also contributes to a mistrust of the industry. I could rant awhile, maybe I'll start a new thread! PEACE

Hey,
Clearance is all right, maybe opinionated, (nothing wrong with that) and a little too outspoken sometimes, but when it comes to the nitty gritty, and where the rubber meets the road he is definitely a tree man. Comparing him to someone like treeminidiot is unethical. I personally do not like everything Clearance has to say about the ISA etc. but there is a degree of respect that I carry for someone who has worked in this business in his capacity that goes way beyond personality.

Treeminidiot knows enough, (again I personally think only what he has gleaned from here or watching tree crews) to be dangerous, and beyond innocently idiotic.
