Do I have a problem here? Shedding Tree / Squirrel Damage?

This large tree is in the front of my house and it looks like it’s either shedding or getting damaged by squirrels (or other). Is this going to be an issue for me in the future?

Squirrel. Maybe Raccoon?

Since they are not damaging the innerbark of the tree, that is not a problem.
