Do they make stones for dressing bars or just files?

Are you sure? As far as I know, the Pferd tool uses a special file, not a stone. I don't think there is a tool out there that uses a stone.
Call it what you will, it's a big chunk of metal with very coarse "teeth" to dress a bar.

I use the Oregon one (STIHL and Vallorbe are identical, but different colors).

Refused to pay $30 for it. Tried it. Then bought a second one for field use.

So convenient; can use without a vise, so I am more likely to touch up a bar with a small burr, when doing daily cleaning and maintenance, then waiting for it to become a bigger job.

Did not like the files on the cheaper eBay / Amazon clones.

Did not like the Pferd tool as well.

Posted a thread a while back. Will add a link if I find it.

I might have to try that one. The Pferd one is bulky, and I find that the grip tends to slip, even if I press/hit it tight against wood. But it's the only one I'd seen available in-store.
