what John Deere 440 skidders sold for new? I know they went through 440, A, B, C, D and sold '70s -'80s. I'm guessing around $30K in the early '70s to $50K in the late '80s. I'm getting a B soon and am just curious Thanks!

My dad bought 1991 440d withh 250 hrs in 1991 for $65,000 if I remember right I' ll ask him tommorrow still got it and runs like a champ. One of the better skidders made.

they are good skidders, around here you can find used ones for 20 or so thousand. run good, we run one that is a 75 i believe, c model. Runs like new, starts hard here in the winter but what doesnt?
