Dogwood Tree Bark

I am concerned about m y dogwood tree, the bark is peeling. The tree is a White Kousa Dogwood about 13 years old. Is there something I need to do?

There's definitely some included bark between the stems growing at tight angles to each other. Perhaps some decay in a couple of pics. Tree seems to be in good shape otherwise

Not perhaps, there is some decay but the tree seems to be fighting to good fight
