Hi,

A friend of mine has a older Dolmar 116si, and snapped one of the studs that holds the bar on the saw. Does anyone know if the bar studs on this saw are screwed into the case or are they a press fit? I am going to try to help him get the broken stud out, but was wondering what I'm up against. I am hoping I don't have to split the case to get the stud out. Some of the stud is left, so I can get a vice grips on it.

Also, where could I find a new stud for this saw. It's an older model saw.

Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

the Si bar stud is 10mm into the crankcase and 8mm at the bar. Just remove the guide plate then lock a vise grip onto and turn out. I have the studs if you can't find them
