Is a 028 wb worth porting

I have a 028 wb and since they were built like little tanks I was wondering wat kinda power I could get outta this saw and is it worth it and if so what tips do ya have for me ?

Just clean up the ports. IMO changing the port timing isn't going to do much. Follow the 70% rule and open the muffler up to get rid of some of the heat. I bought mine in the early 80's new. It has been dependable as dependable can be. Why change it? It was built before the EPA and California started whining about emissions to much on O.P.E. I think Stihl designed a good little saw, I wouldn't trade it straight across for a new one of the same size.
