I know the difference in the 152-153 handle setups and know they follow the same in the Poulan 6000, S6000 but what else is different between them?
I found out the hard way that the Dolmar sprockets listed for 152, 153 and 166 will not fit the 6000 Poulans.
Seems the crank is different on the PTO side. The Poulan 6000 uses a huge 21mm bore in it while the Dolmar used a 18mm bore.
I have been at wits end and have bought 2 sprockets now that wont work on my 6000. The one is a NOS Oregon rim drive which I know are obsolete and is a good find. (IF I could have used the darn thing)
So it seems there is no rim setup ever used on a 6000 as the brg and sprocket bore would be way to large.
I'm going to look into getting the bore on a 152 sprocket machined out to 21mm. Do I have any other options?
