Hey...whats wrong with wanting to experiment and play around?

Besides, I keep the saws that matter. Remember I still have the 660, and the trusty DN441 will stay in the stable too.

Are you still milling casey? Did you ever get that 880 you were looking at?

Yes and No.

My supply of logs has dried up. The company I work for hired a guy to come in and drop trees and process them into firewood. Well, the first year they were there they had about an 80 full chord pile cut and split. Over the weekend the ENTIRE pile disappeared. Based on tracks that were left around the pile, someone brought a train and and used our loader to load it. Made a couple trips. Thats kind of soured the owners to paying to have them come in and cut and split so the employees can have it for free. Now the policy is pretty much push everything into a pile and burn it. They did have these guys come back this year, but part of the deal was they get to take anything worth milling to keep the cost down.

I never did get the 880 because I felt it was to impractical for my uses. Heck my 660 doesn't get much use!

Your money!

No limbing saw, just something to play with. Maybe try some modding.

Clearly, if you buy a saw that is not a 361, 5100, 441, or 7900 your opinion/choice is heresy:( .

Heck, enjoy your "out of the mainstream" purchase. Seems getting good value is appreciated more by some than others.

I agree ive spent the extra money elsewhere and have no complaints for someone like myself who does not cut everyday. The 5100 is nice ,Im sure, but the 510 does it for me,the weight difference is minimal, and if I get impatient, ill fire up the 7900.:greenchainsaw:

Hmmmm, Glad this is a Chainsaw forum.:hmm3grin2orange:

Hows about trying a better Swedish Model ?

Its nothing against Husky, but to buy a saw to tinker with I dont want to have allot of money tied up into it.

Who knows...I may not do anything. I just saw a couple 510's NIB on Ebay and wanted to know if its a worthwhile saw for the price.
