Dolmar 5100 how long?

How long have you ran your 5100? how old is it ? what parts had to be replaced? how were the prices on parts compared to husky/stihl?

Maybe 20 tanks of gas thru mine in a couple of months. Not even a spark plug replaced so far. I get my parts online, and prices seem similar to HU, in fact some of the parts like the bar are interchangeable.

Over 500 tanks on mine now. Only had to replace a broken starter spring. I have had it about 10 months.

Hi bobc, I live 20 miles inland of Yarmouth. There are 2 Dolmar dealers within a 40 min drive from me. Gordon Barr in Weymouth and Paul D'Entremont in Pubnico.

I got my 5100 from The Cutting Edge a sponsor on this site. Members are 166 and cuttinscott. The exchange rate on the dollar was more favorable back then. Probably cheaper to buy local now.

mine has @ 200-250 tanks through it. had to tighten the carb screws, but other than gas/oil and chains, no problems whatsoever.
no parts replaced as of yet.

had about four months,had a speck of something in the carb inlet first day,after that no problems,use it about 10 hours a week.
