Hey 'Dub, we oughta be Dolmar reps. You got Aus, I got good'ole North A.

We can do it, one AS member at a time. ;)

If this doesn't convince people that Dolmar is at the pointy end of the field then nothing will ;)
I really do think the prefilter seam/join needs to be tidied up though. Dropped a few more trees for a mate after work today and where that join is seems to be letting a lot of gear through to the main element. Which of course stopped it all :)
For those who don't need/want the extra filtration I'm also noticing quite a performance improvement the more I use my stock 7900 with this filter setup compared to the standard filter.

Good to sees you pimps still be pimpin yo Dollys...might yall hook a home boy up?Holla if ya hear me.

put one on the dolkita hybrid last month.

someone earlier asked about black on grey.
Krylon Fusion paint (spray cans for plastic furniture) has a stock grey that matches the makita grey pretty well. Doesn't hold against scratches and scrapes as well as I'd like, but seems to be ok.

Install was easy EXCEPT for the instruction lines about removing the two bottom carb mount screws. I have never stripped the dolmar and had never seen a kit that was installed, so dutifully following instructions I searched all over for those non existing screws.
Instructions should have read 'the two rear screws for the top hood/cover. The ones immediately visible when the af cover is popped off.'
also needed a couple small flat washers for the same screws that were not included in the kit.

excluding that, it would have been a 10-15 minute install, plus any other cleaning and maintenance.

I will never see conditions like others here. My reasons were not the fine dirt passing, just short filter life between cleanings. Also, the stock connection of filter to housing seemed wimpy to me. the HD kit seems worth the money to me.
