Stihl Wrenching
The only downside is the weight - too close to the 361, for the power.....:bang:
.. but a heck of a lot cheaper!!! It's not always just about weight.

I don't think there is much wrong with the MS280, but it isn't a true pro saw design - even though it has a magnesium case.

The first time I looked at the MS280 I really didn't like it that much. At the time I also looked at and handled a Husky 353. I liked the 353 and still do. I've handled the MS280 a few more time since then and I kind of like it now. To tell you the truth I like both saws about the same. I have 6 or 7 Husky dealers within a half hour of me. The only one that stocks the 353 (and even the 357XP) is the farthest one away from me. I have two VERY GOOD full servicing and stocking Stihl dealers within ten minutes of me, that makes it even harder not to with a Stihl.I was looking at one yesterday and I looked almost as if it was half mag half plastic. The oil tank and chain cover were plastic. I duno. It looked odd to me.
The farm and home stores around here that sell stihl carry farmbossed badged 16" bars and non badged 16" bars right next to each other. If you read on the farm boss bar sticker it says there are only for the 290 but the nonfb ones list the 290 also. go figure.
