I have heard Dan is the man when you want to buy a 346xp. Well im in the market. Dan if you are reading this, how can I get in touch with you about this? Thanks!

Get in touch with Dan … you’ll like him. Let loose of some of that moldy money and get the thing woods tweaked. Probably will be the best little saw you’ve owned. I run a 16” inch GB bar with .325 pitch round pro chisel chain on mine. It’s a good rock solid 60% faster than my jony 2149 and 026 … timed and tested. It starts good, runs good, looks good and really sounds good! Really shines on stuff up to 14” and will hang in there with my 044 on the smaller wood. Also another plus you can use this sissy saw all day without tearing you a new rearend. I use it and my pp2171 for about 90% of my work. The only down side is … you’ll probably throw all your other saws out the window! Just keep a sharp chain on it and let her run like you stole her.

Thanks for the kind words Jan.
I did manage to get one muffler bolt out of your 2055. I will let the other one soak for a few more days.

Hey Brian,

Try sharpening your chain, LOL.

I guess that I`m joining the Dan Henry fan club. I just put my order in for a 346 that he guarantees will beat any 7900 ever made. Maybe I need two of those 359 oilers.

Sorry you don't have your parts yet. The Post Office decided they needed another holiday yesterday. I will send it next day air today.
I still think that you should have left me do your root canal. I could have saved you some money.
You may not like my anesthesia, it has a two pound head and a wooden handle.

Hey Danny I see you found another sucker ah?
I can't beleave you talked Russ in to one of you slow a@s PP saws
sham on you.......

Good luck Russ let us know how you like it..
BTW if that was you that called hear you didn't leave a return #

Hey Eric,

I`m pretty confident that I`ll like my slow PP`d saw, of course, I don`t expect it to be at all slow!

In reality, Dan did not try to talk me into one of his saws, in fact I asked if he would be willing to build me one. Based on the praises of Dan and his work sung by so many here, especially you Eric because I know that you have had saws by many different builders. Ask Dan, I`m sure that he`ll tell you that I told him that.

Now if Marky de Sade, chicken plucker extrodanaire, will stop sending him all those clubs, maybe I can get my saw built. :( :D

Russ was telling the truth, I didn't try to talk him into a saw. He just told me to build him a saw that would out cut that slow 346 that you have. I said ( No Problem) you can out cut him with a hand saw, he is the slow one, not his saw. LOL
I also told him not to believe anything that Eric character tells him. He lives beside the Keystone Weird State and sometimes the wind blows from East toward the West. I think that its something in the air.

Hey good for you Russ... I don't know if me sending you my PP346xp last fall had any influence on you but I was impressed with it enough to send it to you for a test drive. I hope that yours isn't faster than mine (Danny, I hope that you are reading this). And Danny if you are reading this- (by the way) why don't you answer my emails ? I sent another guy your way Saturday that is looking for a PP346xp also.

i believe dans kinda busy these days..
dont get above u raisin dan. :) just kidding .. i wish i didnt have time to play puter..we aint got no snow balls to eat dn here.. well pine cones in a rush will have to do again..hon pass the salt..:) please

Brian or Dan

Are you running .325 on the 346? You must be, as I dont think an 8 pin 3/8th would work or could be found for that size clutch shaft. I don't seem to have an oil delivery issue with mine. Anyhow, I'd like to try out that good .325 chain, as what I have may not be the optimum stuff, the number of which I don't recall. Can you save me some searching labor and tell me what i'm looking for? Also, how about skip tooth .325....It might work for a 20 inch chain and in softwoods, even if a bit slower cutting...325 just seems to have too many cutters.

I`ve been running an 8 tooth rim and Oregon 21LP on my Walkerized 346 so I`m expecting to be able to run an 8 tooth with 73LG on the Dan Henry Special. :D

Russ

Russ,
If you find a 8 tooth 3/8 rim that will fit the small 346 drum let me know.I can't find any thing over 7 in 3/8
I think you may have to go to a different drum witch can be done but you will have to change oil worm gear also.

Eric,

I`m thinking that it wouldn`t be a big deal to modify a couple of drums into one that would work. A little machining and welding and voila, we`re running 1/2" on our 346s!

357 drum and oil gear wala 8 pin

I was out playing in the cold (7 deg.) today between trips to the hospital trying to figure out this camera.

If I can get it posted.
