Basement 1280 sqft
10" concrete walls below grade (insulated by earth) not a cold wall like a walk out.
First floor 1280sqft
Second floor 1280sqft
All framing is 2x6 high density r 19. second floor ceiling is r38. I built the house personally as I am a general contractor. House is too damn air tight due to my ocd.
I've never measured my duct air temp but last winter when it was "0" or cooler I had no issues hold a nice 75. I have return ducted in and the tundra paired to a nest thermostat so I can control with my phone while out hunting. Good wood was key. Highest flue temp was 325. So I have no warping of any kind. Sometimes I have to open basement window due to lack of fresh air for combustion. I did the math and saved $1200 last winter in propane.
