Good question but do Stihl make their own ?????

Mc Bob.

By coinsidense, I took real close look at an Oregon and a Stihl 3/8x8 yesterday evening, at the purpose of finding that out.

They look like they are made by the same equipment, and they weighted exactly the same (in grams, with one decimal), according to the postal scale I used.

I have never had any problems with the Oregon stuff. I have had
several problems with the GB sprockets fitting/working correctly, so I do
not use them.

I have "heard" that before , but it may be an earlier post by you.....

Regarding Oregon, I have heard of one sprocket that was out of round - otherwise nil negative.
