I have a Deutz in my Rayco super 50. Its runs good, then power loss, sputtering and no power. I replaced the fuel filters & Hydro filters. The vent cap on the fuel tank is working properly. Is sometimes shuts off and sometimes Power is restored and is firing properly. I was wondering if anyone had a similar problem and what it was. It seems to me that maybe a fuel line is collapsing? when it shuts of, it starts right back up. If it was sucking air, it would struggle to start no? Do the fuel pumps on the duetz work sometimes and not others? Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks

I had a similar problem with my small ASV. What had happened was the fuel filter on my transfer tank in my truck had a plastic webbing around it, which came apart. The fuel tank of the machine was full of these tiny pieces which would get sucked up to the fuel strainer, then stop fuel flow all together. They would then fall back down to bottom of tank when machine died, allowing it to start back up again.

Take the cover off the top of the fuel pump and you will find a small screen that may be clogged. Found this was the problem on our Deutz powered skidder.

Same thing happened to my Vermeer 752 with deutz power. I changed all the fuel lines and it fixed it. They weren't leaking but sucking air.
