well im getting my 634 solo out yesterday and for the first time ever she
wont crank. i go to check the gas and its tell tell red. yep apparently i put bar oil in the mix  . the mix and oil tanks are side by side under the chain break,on this saw.live and hopefully learn . but meantime ive got the lines plugged somewhere.im not familar with this saw as to working on it ,and experience has taught me if u dont know what u doing ,on a good piece of equipment ,pay somebody who does.just wondered if any one knows anything i can try in the tank or somethin that mite save me some money. last time i took one in was the 107 dallar oil line kit. plugs not fouled and saw cranks if i spray mix in the carb.
thanks much. kinda lean times here as im doing the property tax and income tax thing.

Hi Tony; sounds like it could be that 'age activated attention deficit', A lot of it going around. I could tell you about a stupid I did but it's not funny yet. Probably the thick bar oil is keeping the pulse diphram from working. I'm not familiar with that particular set up, but you cant just go at it with high pressure air or such without risking damage to the carb. There should be a way thoug without dismantling, but you better wait for better advice than mine

hey frank. funny u should mention that attention deficit think. alzhiemers got my dad and my mom is in the latter stages.
so i guess u can imagine what goes thru my mind when i do somethin like this.:)
i aint gonna worry too much tho as i been subject to that sorta thing ,all my life.:)

Go to the carb and locate the incoming fuel line. Pull it off and spray some carb cleaner into it. The aerosol cans with the straw work great. This will cut the bar oil and blow it back into the fuel tank. Be sure to wear eye protection, carb spray ALWAYS deflects directly toward unprotected eyes!
Swish a tiny bit of fuel mix in the tank to rinse out the carb cleaner and oil, then refill with fuel and fire it up to get rid of any residual.

I've had to do this a couple times with my Echo 3400. That's what happens when you let people fuel your saw for you and your saw's tanks are backwards!

got it fixed ,murphys law and all.
id tried one other plug ,but it didnt make sense ,it could be a bad plug as when it first happened id sprayed mix in the carb and it would fire up. so i dont know what to do as ive got gas going where its suppose to, and still no crank. so a last ditch effort i pull another plug out of another saw. cranks rite up and with a little resetting of the carb adjusts ,shes back where i want.
lesson one thro bad plugs away ,the one on the work table must have been bad. two, a dam plug can go bad at the exact wrong time ,as id been fixing an oil in gas perblem.got it fixed without spending the money on repairs.
by the way ive been thru this solo634 some now and am very impressed with the craftmanship. they are well made machines.thanks tm
