Dying Cherry trees

Im not sure what kind of cherry trees these are but several are now dying this year but started noticing a year earlier, this comes after losing several giant ash trees and wondered if its the same beetle or a "kind of beetle"

Has nothing to do with emerald ash borer. We lost many Kwanzon cherries in our area last year due to a mild winter followed by extreme cold on valentines day (-18).

I think mine here are black cherry?

Some are 12-18" have a coarse bark, have red colored wood and are 80'+

Sounds like black cherry. Pioneer species. Not very longed lived. 40-50 year tree at best. Usually start rotting at the base.
