I found manny cheep Chainsaw on E-bay, But witsh american brand is good?

Her in Norway is only Stihl Huskys and Johnsred.

We hawe also some partner saws but they are not the best buy...

And the huskys and stihl here cost way to mutch compeard to E-bay.

I hawe orderd One John Deere J-3816 frome canada.. Half the price of the saws in Norway.. Is this a reliable saw?

The Americans and Canadians are like us here in Scandinavia: They like Stihl and Husky.

The majority of users on the site are American and Canadian, but the ground swell of opinion is definitely for German and Swedish saws.

Latest thread seems to suggest that JD are Italian anyway

American brand? Stihl is an "american brand" :)

68% of all Stihl product is made in the USA at Virginia each, 6% in Brazil, and the rest in Germany....

Couldn't have said it better myself. If you are serious, you have a Stihl or a Husky. Nothing wrong with a J-rud or Dolmar, or even an Echo, but outside of the Stihl I own and the Husky I'm in the process of buying, I've got a couple of old Homelites...when there were American saws.

Take it from a Scandinavian/American.

You are basically right, regarding decent saws, but there is at least one Dolmar dealer also - about 1000 miles from here.......:hmm3grin2orange: :hmm3grin2orange:

There are lots of Poulan made saws sold here, but most of them are either Poulans disguised as Partners, or hobby saws made by Poulan for Husky and Jonsered (these are not simply relabelled Poulans).
One of the store chains actually sold a Poulan labelled model last year ("Woodshark", 34 cc POS). :jawdrop:

Have a nice week-end!
