Work was having a reorganization of its workshops and they have decided to give away doing any more woodwork. This machinery had been sitting storage for more than 12 months but is all in working order and I managed to pick them up for a song. We're installing them in the milling yard to help us process lumber.

All of the machines (except the dust collectors) are 3 phase so that's why they're going to the yard. I have no room for them in my home shop anyway.

Sorry the photos are poor, crappy cell phone camera only.

This is a variable speed (1000 to 3500 rpm) combination machine, 6" planer, 12" Table saw, dowler, mortiser, spindle etc. It also has it's own dust extractor.

16" Industrial DeWalt Radial Arm saw. This is a serious machine.

2HP industrial grade Dust collector (green one on the left)
The red one on the right is a hobby level 2HP I bought on special a while back

Here is a 9 ft wide x 6" wide belt sander - someone backed a truck into it and it was sitting outside a joinery shop and we picked this up for very little as well. It needs a lot of work.

This is the 16" jointer I paid money for last year

I have stripped the surface rust off the tables (that's just dust on the tables) and the fence and waxed it down, and got all the moving parts moving freely and smoothly. I am currently in the process of making a new blade guard out of sheet ally.

Nice! Those old machines are built well and will give you a long time of work i'm sure.

Very nice Bob, not often that something like that falls into one's lap! Good work in rescuing it all.

I'm wondering who the combo machine is made by? I don't recognize it just from looking.

It's called a Woodfast and is made in Australia in the 1960's, they also made band saws, and metal working machines called Steelfast. They are still around but like many machinery companies they now use many chinese components. I have a wood working lathe sold by them that is only 2 years old and it's OK but not in the same long term quality league as the earlier stuff.

BTW there is also a 9" metal working lathe I am scoring but that is still some ways off.

Congrats Bob!!!

That joiner is hardcore!!! I never seen a 16 inch till now....Thats a monster!!!
The Dewalt radial arm saw...We have one at work as well,,but is says Dewalt,,General Electric on it on it....It cuts tru a 6x6 like butter...

By looking at those bad boys I think it is sure safe to say they do not make them like they used to. Nice machines you must have a huge shop.
