Lookin' for a good saw shop in this area.

I haven't had much luck lately with the ones I've been to.

Anything in the Ouachita National Forest area would be good.

John Ellison, do you know of any? I forget who else is in Arkansas on here.

That is a big area what part of the forest? What saws there is a stihlsky dealer on hwy five near Hot Springs Called Caldwell hardware pretty good but I just get parts and fix my own but have heard they do good work. I don't know about the Mena area which sounds like your close to!

I'm on the northern side of the Ouachita. Poteau, Red Oak, Wilburton. I do alot of work north of Wilburton at the moment.

Mostly lookin' for a place that knows their stuff. I needed a scrench last week and went to one, and I had to explain to the guy what a scrench was. Then he proceeds to look it up on his computer... "Well I gotta order some in." Left that place quick.

A place to get parts at is always good.

Ok here you go don't let the name fool you I got my tw6 here and they have a bunch of stihl supplies and climbing supplies and a fair parts dept! I don't know if your stihl or husky?

If the money pans out in the next few weeks, I'm gonna be both stihl and husky. Stihl at the moment.

Good move...if they don't know what a scrench is it's time to get out of there.

I have about ten old screnches laying out in the shop...PM me your address and I'll send you a couple. :)

I used to have the hardest time keeping a scrench. But several years ago I bought twelve and have not had to buy any since. I keep one in my side pocket and have it whenever I have my work pants on. And I keep one in my pack. I have been carrying the same one since 07. (I hope that I didn't just jinx it)
I feel your pain. The saw shops where I am now in Alabama are terrible and way over priced. There are hardly any left and they don't have any selection.
I cant even get an 8 pin sprocket locally. I asked for one and they wanted to know what make model and what year it was made. Lol.

I usually just carry enough saws that I can pick up another gassed and ready lol then scrench and sharpen at home on the grinder!

I don't know any saw shops in west Ar. But here in central Ar. Conway Farm and Home is a Stihl dealer who I wrote off years ago for parts issues. But last year I was in the place and there is a different service manager. Nathan. Very helpful and friendly. Good selection and price. For other brands I stick with mail order. I am sure they are out there but I have not ran into them.
