I know this sounds easy to make because it is, and it’s absolutely delicious. I’ll post the amount for 1 pound of meat, and you can adjust from there.
1 pound of ground beef, turkey, or venison.
1/2 cup of salsa
1/4 cup of your favorite bbq sauce
Mix it all together and then form a brick out of it. Use your favorite rub to give it a coating, and then place it in the smoker for 2 hours or maybe a little bit more @ 230* , you can add a ketchup glaze before you pull it out, or add it after. I have one on now along with baked beans, and this is what it looks like before you put it in the smoker. I will post a picture when I take it out. Also I normally use oak, but you can use what you prefer.
