I saw this saw listed as a Husqvarna 1100. It looks to me like a 2100cd, at least the tank does. Gawd knows what might have been changed out in the last almost 3o years. It's going to be a long wait until next Thursday.

I have a 2100cd on my bench now and I have been looking for a parts saw for quite a while...

2100 or 1100, what do you think?

everything actually. only thing is some things are upgrades on the 2100 but can be fitted to the 1100. when i click the link it goes to a screen saying bidding ended and shows me no pics. i'm interested to see it.

I can view the pictures, its definitely a parts saw. And could possibly be a 2100. I might be mistaken but wasn't the mufflers a tad different? This saw has a muffler like my old 2100 i had a few years ago.

Huh, I can open it, let's try this:

i saw it now. i just typed in 1100 and went to completed listings. wouldn't let me see the original ad i guess. it is a 2100.

the 1100 had a black top handle with no grips on it. was just painted metal. also had a different muffler outlet then the 2100 and i can see the classic 2100 deflector. 1100 also had a rubber seal fitted to the case where the air filter sat. air filter sealed the whole air box area on the 1100 and was clamped in place by the installed top cover. that saw has the 2100 style filter that mounted to the intake. also has the 2100 tank. all this stuff could be swapped onto an 1100 but the fact it's all there on this saw tells me it's an original 2100.

Good deal, if it has a good SEM module, recoil, clutch and oiler I'm happy. If the crank, carb, piston and jug are good it's Christmas again!

I'm not an expert but my research shows the Ebay ad was wrong ID it as an 1100. If correct, the 1100 was an auto oiler only (just like the later 298XP). A big change for the 2100 was the supplemental manual oiler. The bar capability then grew from 36" to 60".
Over the life of these HUSQVARNA 56mmx40mm saws there were 9 different mufflers.
