A lot of experiencd cutters I know are raving about about using Echo oil in their Husky saws. They say it is a more advanced oil.
But if I have a Husky saw, I want to run Husky oil.
Has anyone hhere heard of this echo OIL ?

Synthetic ratio

Would I be correct in assuming that synthetics mix at a higher ratio than conventional? Most all of my equipment is old or antique and I have considered trying a synthetic but was concerned about compatibility with the older saws. Most of my saws are around 20:1 what's recommended when going to synthetic, ratio wise or should I just leave well enough alone. ;)

I use it because they make such great weedeater's that I assumed it would be good oil too. Its always available at Home Depot. For better or worse, I've assumed there is a correlation between the quality of a manufacturer's 'tools' and their 'oil.' Which means I avoid a lot of the oils for sure.

I had used Stihl oil for years but when I moved over to Huskies the dealer gave me some Echo oil, which I thought was odd since I just bought 2 Huskies from him. The Echo oil has been great for the past year, no issues what so ever. No deposits anywhere at 45/1.
I like it!

So, what does the Echo oil have in its formulation for my Husky saw that Husky oil does not have. I know it has fuel stabilizers but what else?

I don't know about the additives maybe its a trade seceret. But i know the one saw i bought off of ebay smoked real bad when it came to me, it was even shipped with gas in the tank. I started it than i dumped it out and added my gas and the smoking went away after a few tankfulls...Bob

Yes run it in my Husky.

There have been several posts in different forums speaking of the merits of Echo Super blend so I gave it a try, low smoke, comes with a stabilizer, and is a synthetic blend. On the bottle it states it is for all 2 cycle engines, at the ratio they state to mix it at.

The Mobil 1 synthetic product is not sold around here so have not given that a try, which others have spoken highly of also.

In the last few years there have been improvements in lubricants, why not take advantage of them?
