I've got a Echo 280E in good shape. Hasn't ran much, been in storage for years.

The problem is a broken fuel cap 13100413930 or 13100413931. These aren't available anymore but I think they are replaced by 13100413933? Are these still available and will they fit? My dealer just told me there aren't any parts left that you can get for the saw. That doesn't help me :) I don't think that he actually looked, just used the numbers I provided him. Anyone that can help me here?

I checked some sponsors here and they still sell the 13100413933. Too bad I'm not in US.

Thanks in advance!

Echo saws belong in a dumpster, simple as that! :yoyo:
Haha :D I like the little saw, got it for free and in good shape. Ran pretty good with a crappy chain on it so would like to get it running again. Been in a tree last year with my MS 362 and had little space, the Echo would be great for the one-time-a-year I'm in a tree or for limbing small stuff.

No idea if they're still available from the dealers, but I'm sure someone on here has one sitting in their garage/barn/shed that they could mail over to you.
Would be great but don't know how expensive the shipping is. If I go through the shops, it's usually around 40 dollars, so that sucks for a piece worth 5 bucks. Already on the search for old broken Echo's in Belgium but they pretty hard to find.

Check freebay
Almost the same one, mine is a little bit older. Other handle and doesn't have the hand protection.

Freebay isn't know here in Belgium. Already on the second-hand websites. Think it will be a long search, that's why I would like to know if the part is still available at the dealers so the dealer can't lie to me to save himself the trouble. Only 1 Echo dealer in the neighborhood. :frown:

I'll check freebay here in a while

It's nice to know that ST bashes other saw's and mod's still do nothing

If the sponsors have them, just ask what shipping would be to your location. Might be the easiest cheapest solution.

There are oil caps on freebay but no fuel caps

But there is a part saw on there for $12 ;)

That would be a nice solution, will have to do something like that unless I get the dealer to look for the new numbers I have :) Going back to him tomorrow and try to get him calling Echo while I'm there.

They have them but the shipping cost is huge or they don't even ship at all. But imo, if they have them, my dealer should also be able to get them...
